About Us
NPF Railway is a hobby page celebrating Lionel trains, Northern Pacific Railway, Stampede Pass and the art form of Model Railroading.

NPF Railway is a not-for-profit, hobby-only, family venture devoted to learning, teaching and promoting those aspects of model railroad that interest us personally.

We like to provide a glimpse into a model railroad, provide some tech tips and teachings on those aspects we've learned about, and show a little history as seen through the lens of our own point of view.

Layout history
Established in 1997, NPF Railway celebrates Model Railroading and the Northern Pacific Railway with an irreverent eye toward history and modeling. We are currently working on Stampede Pass circa 1880's in O scale, but you’ll find we are much closer to our roots in O27 Hi-Rail than we are to any true semblance of “realistic” modeling.
